Will pampering your cat spoil them
by Will pampering your cat spoil them.According to one dictionary definition, which is the definition I happen to like, pamper means "to treat or gratify with extreme or excessive indulgence, kindness, or care." Now maybe it might be going a little too far to say we excessively indulge our kitties, but what is wrong with extreme or excessive kindness or care? I don't think anyone would argue with that, and certainly not your pet. Being the intelligent creatures they are, they appreciate kindness and care, and will reward you for it with love. Kindness and care involve play, exercise, proper grooming and top quality food which are all good for any animal’s physical and mental health and well-being.
Mental health and well-being you might ask? Well yes....we want our cats and kitties to be happy creatures because they will spread their happiness to us, their owners. Don't feel guilty about spending some money for items toward this end. What am I talking about? Well, other than toys, you might consider a cat enclosure such as a fence and gate. If you live in an area where you don't want your cat to wander the street and possibly risk the danger of getting hit by a car or being attacked by another animal, but want her to have fresh air, you might consider purchasing and installing one. They range in styles, designs and cost. But for the well-being of your pet, it would be worth it. Fresh air helps prevent respiratory illness and outdoor time gives cats hours of pleasure in watching the comings and goings of all kinds of critters, large and small.
Considering physical health, there are all kinds of gourmet treats to give your kitty such as freeze dried meats. Table scraps aren't necessarily the healthiest thing to give them, so you want to make sure that whatever you give them, there are no fatty scraps. Do some research on what are good, healthy treats for your kitty. Obeisity is something we don't want to see in our pets. Just like in humans, it can lead to other health problems.
Then of course, if your kitty tolerates it pampering would also include a pretty collar, fancy food dish, a cat condominum which could have different levels and places to lay. They are climbers by nature, so this would be something to keep them very busy and happy.
